Independence Day, July 5. Anniversary of the declaration of independence in 1811, making it the first South American nation to declare independence from Spain. Independence was officially achieved in 1830.

Battle of Carabobo Day, June 24. Commemorates the anniversary of Bolivar's victory in the Battle of Carabobo in 1823. This day is also Army Day in Venezuela.
Teacher's Day,, January 15. "Dia Del Maestro". A national day in honor of teachers.
Bolivar's Birthday, July 24. Also observed in Ecuador. He was born on July 24, 1783.
