Some holidays with more complete descriptions include
Christmas, April Fools' Day, May Day.
Halloween, Valentine's Day, Friday the Thirteenth,
and many more.
You can browse through these entries by selecting a letter

I am interested in public holidays, religious holy days,
other widely observed celebrations, the origins and customs of
these days, and general informations on the calendars.
I am also interested in hearing personal accounts of these celebrations,
especially for ones outside of the United States.
