Public holidays   New Year's Day, National Holiday, Victory Day, Workers' Day, National Hero's Day, Independence Day, MPLA Foundation Day, and Family Day (Dec 25). In addition there are several holidays which are not officially recognized, yet are generally treated as public holidays. These are Youth Day, Armed Forces Day, and Pioneers' Day.
